Seasoned Love: a Matchablossom Zine
Seasoned Love: a Matchablossom Zine will tell stories and show art of Sakurayashiki Kaoru | Cherry Blossom and Nanjo Kojiro | Joe! These can be anything from pre-relationship get-together scenes to established relationship cuteness, but all of it will center around our favourite ship of matchablossom!
Pluto (they/them): Head/Social Mod
Pluto is the head mod for this zine, as well as the social media mod. They have been in several zines before, as both contributor and Mod. They are head mod for Plain to Fame: a Sero Hanta Zine, as well as a gen mod in Serotonin: a Sero Hanta zine, and is a writer contributor for Imposter Syndrome: a BNHA Among Us Zine and Serotonin: a Sero Hanta Zine. They love matchablossom, and wanted to create this project to share that love with others.
Misery (she/her): Artist + Merch Mod
"Hey, Misery here! I'm an artist with 10+ years of experience, and have been a mod for a number of zines! I'm absolutely stoked to be a part of this project, and cannot wait to share some Matchablossom love with you all! <3"
Nat (she/her): Writer Mod
Hey guys, the name's Nat and as a huge fan of colourful sports anime, Sk8 is right up my alley! Since Matchablossom is such a cute ship, I'm willing to let Joe have Cherry all to himself - I'm busy filling out the adoption papers for Miya anyway. Super stoked to be here and take care of our lovely writers!
Kitsch (they/he/it): Graphics Mod
"Hi! U can call me Kitsch & im currently a Graphic Design major attending community college, however i'll be transferring to a 4 year in the fall! I recently got into sk8 & i really loved it (it made me cry actually aha) & Cherry is one of my favorite characters along with Reki & Miya! Excited to be on the team!"
Caia (they/he): Formatting/Layout Mod
Caia is a sleepy enby who spends most of their little free time drinking too much coffee and thinking about his favorite characters. He’s been working nonstop since April 2020, and has been featured in several zines before this, as both a mod and a contributor. These include, and are certainly not limited to, Lilies in Bloom, Not My Forte, Imposter Syndrome, Sprout, Haven, and Problem Child. They love the MatchaBlossom dynamic and are excited to be on board with this zine!
Samantha/Sam (she/her/any): Shipping Mod

"Hiya! I'm Samantha! I'm an executive admin/project manager by day, freelance photographer everywhere else. I hate boredom - prefer keeping busy. I'm a music/movie nerd, puzzle-solving fiend, and professional realist. I collect vinyl, cassettes, spoons, and plants. I'm super stoked to be here! I cannot wait to see what you guys create!"

Mods
Artist Mod:
The Artist Mod will be responsible for overlooking the artist contributors. This means any questions they may have about their art will be answered by the artist mod, and the artist check ins will be looked over by the artist mod. You MUST be committed to your role and be active enough to do these tasks.
Writer Mod:
The Writer Mod will be responsible for overlooking the writer contributors. This means any questions they may have about their work will be answered by the writer mod, and the writer check ins will be looked over by the writer mod. You MUST be committed to your role and be active enough to do these tasks.
Merch Mod:
The Merch Mod will be responsible for over looking the merch artist contributors. This means any questions they may have about their pieces will be answered by the merch mod, and the merch check ins will be looked over by the merch mod. You MUST be committed to your role and be active enough to do these tasks.
Finance Mod:
NOTE: Must be 18+ to apply.
The Finance Mod will be responsible for over looking the finances for the zines. This means anything that deals with money and/or manufactures will be the Finance Mod's responsibility. If you want to apply to this role, then you must be willing to share the spreadsheets (or whatever you want to use to organize such things) with the mod team. The Finance Mod will also handle any transactions needed (i.e donating to the charity chosen, sending the contributors their portion of the money, etc.)
Shipping and Fulfilment Mod:
Note: Must be 18+ to apply
The Shipping and Fulfilment Mod will be responsible for overlooking the shipping of the zine, making sure that everyone gets what they ordered, etc. This does entail working closely with the finance mod.
Formatting/Layout Mod:
The Formatting/Layout Mod will be responsible for overlooking the creation of the zine. This may entail working with the finance mod for the manufacturing and the like, as well as making sure that everything will fit into the designated specs.
Graphics Mod:
The Graphics Mod will be responsible for creating promotional graphics to post to the Twitter account. This Includes Mod/Contributor introductions, as well as promotional graphics for sales and anything else the zine would need.
Writers (accepting 8)
You must:
be 16+ (for financial compensation reasons)have one (1) matchablossom OR sk8 related pieceeach sample be between 1k and 2k (these samples can be published or unpublished works)
What's not allowed:
NSFW samples (will result in your application being disregarded)this includes anything with adult/minor ships. We are not saying you can't create those outside of this zine, just that they are not permitted within the apps or the zine itself.Heavy topics (without trigger warnings. Please keep in mind that even if it is trigger warned, there's a chance it won't get read due to mods being uncomfortable with the topic.)
Artists/Merch Artists (accepting 20-25 artists and 5 merch artists)
You must:

Q: Why the theme change?
A: The mods have talked, and we found it best to move to a more general matchablossom zine, especially where we took a month-long break. Not only that, but we think that this will give future contributors more room to create for the zine, essentially opening it up to anyone who wanted to create matchablossom content. There were also already several seasoned themed sk8 zines out there, and we didn't want to cause any clash between us.
Q: How many of each role will you be accepting?
A: We will be accepting 8 writers, 20-25 artists, and 5 merch artists as of right now!
Q: Is it sfw or nsfw?
A: This zine will be sfw! We want it to be available to everyone, so we will focus on wholesome, fluffy content.
Q: would there be an nsfw section to the zine?
A: Where the head mod is seventeen and therefore a minor, there is a very low chance of there being an NSFW section or counterpart to this zine. Not only that, but they (the head mod) do intend on allowing minors to contribute/buy, and since currently there is no way to monitor that without having the head mod involved there can't be any NSFW within the zine.
Q: How long will the creation period be?
A: Right now, the creation period is set up to be four months long. It will start on May 30th, and end on September 25th. Any other questions can be directed to our Schedule!
Q: Will there be an age rating or warning for those who are younger that are interested in the zine, if it has any kind of alarming content?
A: We will try and discourage anything that would need such labels, however, if the need arises, there will be content and trigger warnings available in the zine.
Q: Will all contributors/mods be +18?
A: Mods will be required to be 16+ (with the exception of finance/shipping and fulfillment mods, those two are required to be 18+ because they will be dealing with money and the like.) As for contributors, it will be open to all ages. However, if this becomes a for profit zine or some variation of it, then we may have to bump that up jut so the contributors get payed.
Q: Are AUs permitted?
A: We do want to keep this within the canon universe, so there will NOT be any AUs. Of course, if you wish to use AUs for applications you can feel free to!
